Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion Review

Jumat, November 30, 2012

Hollaaa.. Anybody miss me? ヽ(´∀`)ノ
OMG.. I rarely blog this month, i only wrote one post. So sorry >.<

I'm so busy in the office, it's year end so lots of work to be done until around March next year.. So please don't mind if I will not post as many as last months. (><。)

Today I'm back with another review. Not Korean brand but yeah, who doesn't know Benefit anyway? It's Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA++. Okay so before I got this emulsion, what I know from Benefit is just their make-upwith quite high price. Look interesting but because of the price, I don't really mind to buy it. But, around two months ago, my nice neighbour gave me this emulsion because it doesn't suit her. She knows that I'm a beauty freak from my mom's story ( -__- ) so she gave me this. I just said: "xie xie a yi". Hahhaa.. xD

Enough of the story, so let's get straight to the review :D

The emulsion is in light green bottle that is not too tall or too short. The cap somehow looks like made from wooden material, while in fact it's not. :D

From Benefit's website:
You may not know you're dehydrated, but your skin does. Triple performing facial emulsion SPF 15 PA++ hydrated, protects & comforts the skin with an oil-free, lightweight formula.

How to apply: Apply with fingertips to freshly cleansed face & neck each morning.

Details: 50.3 mL 1.7 US fl.oz.

Active Ingredients: OCTINOXATE (ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE) 7.49%, AVOBENZONE (BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE) 3.00%, OCTOCRYLENE 2.00%, SULISOBENZONE (BENZOPHENONE-4) 1.50%.
Others Ingredients: WATER (AQUA), GLYCERIN, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, DIGLYCERIN, C14-22 ALCOHOLS, POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE, SILICA, BETAINE, STEARETH-21, PHENOXYETHANOL, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, FRAGRANCE (parfum), C12-20 ALKYL GLUCOSIDE, COCONUT ALCOHOL, POLYACRYLAMIDE, C13-14 ISOPARAFFIN, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, DECYLOXAZOLIDINONE, TETRASODIUM EDTA, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, CARBOMER, XANTHAN GUM, LAURETH-7, XYLITYLGLUCOSIDE, LINALOOL, ANHYDROXYLITOL, BHT, XYLITOL, HEXYL CINNAMAL, LIMONENE, AJUGA TURKESTANICA EXTRACT, HYALURONIC ACID, SODIUM HYALURONATE.

It comes in a pump so we won't have a problem to take the product out.

The colour of the emulsion is milky white and the pic shows you the amount that comes out of each pump. It has a light scent, if you know the scent of Skin Food Cucumber & Lettuce series, this has a similar scent to it.

I use it every morning after serum. Two pumps are enough for the whole face. I will just tap tap my face until it is fully absorbed. It doesn't feel sticky at all, and it feels so light on my face.

What I like:
simple packaging but somehow it attracts my eyes <3
has SPF 15 PA++, perfect for morning moisturizer before makeup
 absorbed fast
 doesn't feel sticky at all
 doesn't make me break out

What I dislike:
 contains only 50.3mL

Overall, I like this emulsion. Usually I have to wait for some times before the emulsion is fully absorbed but that is not the case for this emulsion. A plus point for a hectic morning when I don't have too much time to wait for this and that. But the price is pricey for me now with the amount only 50.3mL, so I don't think I will buy this in the future. After all, I still love Korean brands because the price and the packaging is more reasonable to me and the quality is not bad too. ^^

Etude House

Etude House Face Designing Brightener Review

Minggu, November 11, 2012

Hello girls.. How are you? This is my first post in November.. Last week I went to Lembang for office outing from Friday to Sunday. While from Monday to Friday I was too lazy to update my blog. So here I am in this weekend, sitting, listening to Kpop, and writing review for you. :3

It's about the new Face Designing Brightener from Etude House as part of their doll collection. I love Etude House's highlighter from Aloha V-Line Slim Maker, so I want to give this a try. It's available in two colour: Beige (Smooth Face) and Purple (Dolly Face). I can't imagine purple colour highlighter so I just purchased the beige colour. :)

The box is simple, not too girly but still in pink colour.

At the back of the box, there is an illustration on how to use the highlighter.

Net Wt. 9g (0.317 oz)
[Directions] Use puff to gather and apply makeup to all areas of the face. Brightens entire face while highlightig the forehead, T-zone cheek bones.
[Caution] 1. Use only as directed. 2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight. 3. Cease use if problems arise.

The Face Designing Brightener comes in a slim packaging, just like compact powder. The packaging is dominated with dark purple colour that doesn't look too cheap. The colour is similar with Etude House Precious Mineral BB Compact All Day Strong but slimmer.

The name and manufactured date.

The highlighter is in beige colour that has a shimmer on it. It smells nice on the pan but don't afraid, once applied on face, the smell won't noticeable. :) The highlighter really does a nice job for highlighting certain areas of our face for that glowy look. It looks really natural and although it contains shimmer, it is unnoticeable once applied. The minus point for me is it doesn't come with a brush so I have to use Aloha V-Line Slim Maker brush to apply it or using Masami Shouko

What I like:
 slim packaging
 gives natural glow
 nice smell

What I dislike:
 doesn't come with a brush

This is my FOTD using the Face Designing Brightener ^^ :

That's all for now. See you on my next post :D
